In the common positive circulation drilling, the mud pump sends the surface flushing medium-clean water, mud or polymer flushing fluid under a certain pressure, directly to the bottom end of the drill bit through the high-pressure hose, faucet and the center hole of the drill string. In order to achieve the purpose of cooling the drill bit, removing the cutting debris and transporting it to the surface.
Commonly used mud pumps are piston type or plunger type.
